Restoring the Silo
In 2013, the Oakland Township Historic District Commission approved funding for the installation of a new cap on the historic silo at Cranberry Lake Farm.
Research was completed before construction to ensure that the replacement cap respected the historic appearance and character of the structure. Professional architectural designs were prepared as part of the project.
Designed with Historic Integrity
The new silo cap was manufactured locally and installed by a
local firm. The materials, dimensions, and design were based
on findings from the historical research and architectural study.
